As a network family focused on “Building Churches that Advance the Kingdom” it’s vital we’re following the Lord’s leading and being compelled by His Spirit in all we do. Compelled is a very strong word – it means to be forced or obliged to do something. It implies there’s no choice but to obey!

This word is used in a key scripture passage where Paul the Apostle is describing the drive behind his ministry.

In 1 Corinthians 9:16 he writes, “For when I preach the gospel, I cannot boast, since I am compelled to preach. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!” (NIV)

Paul is so in tune with the Holy Spirit he realizes he absolutely MUST take the Gospel of Jesus Christ into the unreached places of the world – which in our day includes neighbourhoods, workplaces, schools, and beyond!

Like Paul, being compelled by God is very important for each of us and, in fact, essential if we’re to advance the Kingdom as the Lord desires. And so, our international conference this fall will focus on how to receive, embrace, and follow the compulsion of the Holy Spirit in our lives and ministries.

To help us with this important focus we have Joel and Hannah Dumaine as our guest speakers. The Dumaine’s are founders of Generation Unite – a movement birthed in Quebec with a vision to raise a generation of people passionate about unity, prayer, the presence of God, the power of the Spirit and a harvest of souls. In other words, their vision is to raise up others “compelled” to advance the Kingdom!

Weʼll also have the opportunity to glean from other excellent leaders speaking in our main sessions and facilitating helpful and informative workshops so we can all lead Holy Spirit “compelled” lives – ‘Unapologetic, Unleashed, and Unstoppable’.

This will definitely be another pivotal moment in the life of our LifeLinks network!
